Nora Antoine, a Ph.D. Leadership and Change student at Antioch University and a 2013 Mellon Faculty Enhancement Doctoral fellow, has upcoming dissertation work focused on engagement of full-time faculty to explore professional relationships among TCU faculty.

When asked about the impact of this research Antoine noted, “As a long-time faculty member, I hope this work will grow awareness about the benefit of faculty collegiality and expand faculty relationships beyond our individual university and, ultimately, I hope this study’s outcome will have some benefit of our overall TCU network.”

Antoine is currently Chair and Professor of Business Education at Sinte Gleska University in Mission, South Dakota, one of the 34 tribally and federally chartered institutions working to strengthen tribal nations and impact the lives of American Indians and Alaska Natives supported by the American Indian College Fund.

I was the first one to be educated in my family. My father had a third grade education, and my grandfather was at an Industrial Indian School in the 1800s. It is very important that you finish your dissertation work and be the best you can be. You set an example and your contributions will make it possible for others to go after you. We work together for the good of all. Good for you that your accomplishments shine!
