"At a tribal college, they truly want you to apply yourself and take the things you lean in class out into the field to use. I've done fieldwork in testing water quality, biological field methods and plotting forest measurements. I have learned the names of plants in the Salish language and studied the importance of sacred sites in relation to environmental management. I don't think other colleges would do this."
