Giving Library to Kick Off $100,000 “Share to Give” Campaign on #GivingTuesday

The Giving Library, an online video archive that connects donors to nonprofits including the American Indian College Fund (the College Fund), is kicking off a $100,000 “Share to Give” campaign on #GivingTuesday, the national day of giving, which falls on December 3.
Visitors to the Giving Library website (www.givinglibrary.org) can view videos for the College Fund and hundreds of other charitable organizations across the U.S. By signing up for a free Library Card, viewers can show their support for the College Fund by sharing our video on Facebook or Twitter, and the Giving Library will donate $5 for each share to the College Fund. Participants can share up to five organizations per month, and the Giving Library will donate up to $100,000 during the campaign.
The groups featured in the Giving Library are involved in a wide range of causes including education, environmental preservation, humanitarian efforts, and health services.
“Some of the organizations are well known and others you may have never heard of,” said Giving Library Manager Kerry Vaughan. “But now is the perfect time to explore. When you find organizations that you like, one of the easiest ways to show your support is to share their videos. There are no gimmicks and no matching contributions. You share; we donate—it’s that simple.”
The Giving Library was created to give donors and philanthropists an innovative way to enhance their strategic, charitable giving. Individuals are able to study, compare, and engage with hundreds of organizations. They can listen to the leaders of those nonprofits discuss their mission, accomplishments, and challenges, and describe the type of support that’s needed.
