New Town, ND – Fort Berthold Community College (FBCC) will offer an oil industry related class called “Lease Operations,” during the Block C Session of this spring 2013 semester. The class will familiarize students with operations and vocabulary of production processes. It is an entry level course for students who wish to develop careers as technicians in the oil industry.
The Course number is PTAC 299, and the fee for the course is $350. It will be waived for students seeking college credit for the class. Payment is expected at the time of registration.
Classes begin March 26 and end May 2. They are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 4pm to 7pm on the FBCC campus. The class will be held in the East wing of the college, room 73B on the second floor.
Mr. Dave Williams will be the instructor for the course. Williams is the CEO of Missouri River Resources and has many years of experience in the industry. Williams is also a NCCER certified instructor (www.nccer.org).
The course is the first of several being offered through the TREND grant program.
To register for the class, students need to bring a valid driver’s license and complete FBCC registration forms. The last day to register for the class is March 21, 2013. Classes are open on a first come first served basis. Early registration is encouraged.
