The Tierney Family Foundation Grants the American Indian College Fund $15,000 for Scholarships

Denver, Colorado – March 2, 2010 –The Tierney Family Foundation has granted the American Indian College Fund with a $15,000 grant for scholarships for American Indian students. The grant will support qualified American Indian students who show academic achievement and involvement in their communities by providing financial resources to encourage them to complete a college degree. With an education, students have the confidence, skills, and cultural knowledge to improve their lives and to make valuable contributions to American Indian communities and to the nation as a whole.

Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund said, “The continued generosity of The Tierney Family Foundation helps American Indian students achieve a college education while giving them hope for a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
