Denver, Colorado – August 6, 2009 – The Nancy Allison Perkins Foundation has granted the American Indian College Fund $10,000 for scholarships for American Indian students. This grant will support qualified American Indian students who show academic achievement and involvement in their communities by providing financial resources to encourage them to complete a college degree. With an education, students can build a better life for themselves, their families, and make valuable contributions to their communities and nation.

The foundation, which was established in 2003, has been a committed donor to the Fund since 2005, and has increased the size of its gift.

Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund, said, “The generosity of The Nancy Allison Perkins Foundation helps American Indian students achieve a higher education, giving them greater hope for a better future. Our graduates return to their communities to help their people, making a difference in the lives of other American Indians.
