The Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation Grants $10,000 to the American Indian College Fund

Denver, Colo. (July 19, 2009) – The Denver-based The Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation announced it is granting $10,000 for general scholarships for students from Colorado or the Southern Ute or Ute Mountain tribes to the American Indian College Fund.

The grant will support qualified American Indian students by providing financial resources to encourage them to complete a college degree. With an education, students can build a better life for themselves, their families, and make valuable contributions to their communities and nation.

Richard B. Williams, President and CEO of the American Indian College Fund, said, “We welcome The Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation as a new partner with the American Indian College Fund. Through their generosity, they will help Colorado’s American Indian students who could not otherwise afford a college education achieve their dreams. We are thrilled that they are dedicating these monies for American Indian education for Colorado students.”
