Tribal Roles in Education
American Indians and Alaska Natives are the fastest-growing groups in the country, making our work in educating our people urgent.
With Native people enrolling in college in record numbers, tribal communities need a better-educated and more professional workforce to solve the unique and complex challenges in Indian Country while safeguarding sovereignty. Yet research shows that only 5% of American Indians can afford to go to college. To facilitate an educated Indian Country, the American Indian College Fund must provide scholarship support to Native students.
