At the American Indian College Fund, we value your support and we are committed to protecting your privacy. Our site is a secure environment for anyone who visits, makes a donation or purchases products. The purpose of this statement is to share with you our policy concerning your privacy.

Normal Browsing
When you visit our site, we collect some non-identifying basic information. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed and other non-identifying information. We use this aggregate information to improve our site and to make your experience on our website as smooth as possible.

Cookies are small text files that a site transfers to a site visitor's hard disk or browser for added functionality, or for tracking site usage. The American Indian College Fund uses cookies in a limited capacity. American Indian College Fund's cookies "expire" at the end of your user session. Our cookies do not capture or store any personally identifying information about you, or any data about your past usage of our site. We use information captured by cookies only for blind statistical analysis, and to tailor our communications with the public.

On-line Donation Forms
We do not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. When you order a product, request information, or donate, for example, we may collect the following information: first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, email address, subject of inquiry and payment information.

The information you transmit to us on this site travels by encryption. The companies we work with to process your online donation payments and product purchases also use encryption and security protocols. The information you provide is stored in a secure location, is accessible only by designated employees trained in the proper handling of customer information, and is used only for the stated purpose for which the information was collected.

Your information is privileged and confidential and will not be shared or released to any organization or business entity other than those affiliated with or working in conjunction with the American Indian College Fund. We occasionally make our constituent names and postal addresses available to other reputable organizations. We have found this to be the most cost-effective method of increasing our database of potential supporters and hope that you value the information they send you. Your name is only available to these carefully screened organizations for a limited time. Other organizations will not have continued access to your name and address unless you choose to respond to their initial mailing. We do not share email addresses.

We respect your privacy and allow you to restrict internal and external sharing of your personal information. We recognize that you may wish to limit the ways in which we contact you. When you make a donation, you can request that the Fund not share your contact information with other non-profit organizations, that we not contact you or share your information with anyone or that we only contact you once a year.

Note to Parents and Children
The American Indian College Fund does not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13. In addition, no part of our site is designed with the purpose of attracting any person under age 13.

How do we provide a secure environment for on-line transactions?
The American Indian College Fund's on-line processing system allows you to make secure donations and purchases. We use the latest encryption technology to insure that no one can read your information as it travels to our system.

Our on-line credit card verification system is handled by a third party, which collects your name, address, phone, credit card number and expiration date in order to process your transaction. Their encryption technology offers a secure technology to insure the confidentiality of your transactions.

Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy statement will be updated periodically and posted on our web site. It applies to the online practices of the American Indian College Fund. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time by posting revisions. You agree to review the Privacy Policies each time you use our web site so that you are aware of any modifications.
