If I Stay on the Rez--2006
The "If I Stay on the Rez" public education campaign developed by Wieden+Kennedy for the American Indian College Fund features stereotype-shattering images of contemporary young Indian scholars alongside impressive educational statistics about how a tribal college education impacts not only the lives of American Indian students, but their families and communities.
The ad was shot on location on the Navajo, Flathead, Pine Ridge, and Crow Reservations, which are home to several tribal colleges. The campaign was officially launched in early 2006.
Famed photographer Gillian Laub donated her time and talents to the development of the American Indian College Fund's latest print public education campaign.
Filmed and recorded on location on several reservations throughout the West, the "If I Stay on the Rez" public service announcement was shot by legendary director Joe Pytka and features tribal college students and American Indian College Fund scholarship recipients.
The mission of the American Indian College Fund includes educating the public about the tribal colleges and the American Indian College Fund's role in supporting them and their students. The American Indian College Fund relies entirely on donated media for its advertisements on television, radio, on the web, and in printed publications.
